Hi
We just migrated from MB6 to MB8 in our organization. In MB6 I used to create a message set with Global element accepting brackets in its name but now in MB8 it is not accepting brackets while defining the name. It throws an error:
Name is not a valid non-colonized name.
and name returns back to default.
Can somebody help in this regard?
P.S: I have a workaround as to edit the message set by editing the xsd file in notepad++ but it is a manual intervention.
An mxsd file is an xsd file, and should obey the naming rules for xsd elements. Sounds like a defect fix in WMB.
Using non-standard names is generally a bad idea - it makes it hard to interface with standard XML technologies and languages. So even if the message set validator accepts the non-standard names, the Mapping node or the JavaCompute node or some third-party library might complain. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
