Hi.
I am trying to install websphere mq 7.5 co-existing (Side by Side) with websphere mq 7.0.1.10.
Presently websphere mq running with 7.0.1.10 and multiple queue manager running.
I am trying to install websphere mq 7.5 co-existing with 7.0.1.10 in AIX using smitty toll.
I am getting below exception while installing WebSphere MQ 7.5.0.2 :-

Before install WebSphere MQ 7.5, Do I need to stopped existing MQ 7.0.1.11 queue managers? I tried to install MQ 7.5 without stopping MQ 7.0 queue manages?
Please let me know that MQ 7.0 queue manages need to be stopped before install websphere mq 7.5.0.2 coexist with mq 7.0.1.10.???
Thanks,
uditara.... |

So which bit of "...All Queue Managers for this installation must be stopped before any install/update/delete of this installation..." are you having difficulty understanding? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Also, if you are trying to install into a non-default location, you can't use smitty.
Review the installation documents again. |

Thanks for your response.
I wrongly installed MQ 7.5.0.2 in the default location i.e. /usr/mqm where MQ 7.0.1.10 already installed.
After WMQ7.5 Installation, I have only executed below command :-
/usr/mqm/bin/setmqinst -i -p /usr/mqm
How do I uninstall WMQ 7.5? How do I remove above symbolic link to start the queue manager with WMQ 7.0.1.10 environment. How do i rollback to my original WMQ 7.0.1.10 environment.....

How do you roll back for other issues? Use the same procedure. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Not true. But you do have to go via the "Relocatable Software Installation and Maintenance" menu item first. And have run the mkusil command before that. |

mqjeff,
A few months ago, I gave feedback to IC pointing out what markt said and they replied that they will updated it (eventually). Not really sure that the feedback is working on the KC. |
