As of V5.2 client components are not available for AS/400. However, AS/400 can be used as a server for clients that connect from other systems (e.g. UNIX, Windows).

MQ Client for AS/400 is ONLY available in the Java environment. See the MA88 supprtpac.
If java isn't viable in your environment you might want to consider using VisualAge for RPG to write RPG-type MQ Client applications.

Raj,
The steps for using MQ's java Client on AS/400 are no different than using the java client on Nt or Unix.
I would recommend, as in any Java environment, that you verify your JVM environment FIRST (i.e. classpath, etc.). There are examples in the AS/400 manuals for doing this using a "Hello World" example.
Once you've verifying your AS/400's JVM is operational, simply use the MQIVP example that is documented in the "MQSeries Using Java" manual. BTW: This manual also indicates what MQ directory entries to add to your AS/400 classpath. To simplify MY environment, I've updated the SYSTEM's CLASSSPATH variable with the appropriate MQ entries.
