I can not use the amqsget, because of the 15 second delay. Is there another program (binary) in which I can receive messages from a linux platform ?
Thanks |

What 15 second delay? It picks up messages immediately.
It's also only a sample, not intended for any actual production strength duty and if you don't like what it does change it so it acts more in accordance with your requirements! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The delay you see is amqsget waiting for more messages to arrive - if the queue is currently empty. It is working as designed.
And, the source code for amqsget, and most of the supplied utility programs, is provided with the WMQ package. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

SupportPac MA01 allows you to do the same thing as AMQSGET and an awful lot more. You can, for example, choose how long it should wait. The command would be something like....
Code: |
q -I MYQUEUE -w 120 |
As I say though there are an awful lot of parameters to control what gets printed out, whether you get or browse, how many messages to process etc.
Cheers,
Paul. _________________ Paul Clarke
