Hello Experts ,
One of our lines of business intends to migrate existing infra on WMB 6.x and WMB 5.3 (yet to get confirmation) into IIB 9.
The product itself has evolved over a period of time and many new things have been added and some things removed (some deprecated nodes , SCADA nodes etc.).
Will the same migrate commands hold good ? Any special considerations ? How about WBI to Websphere adapter set migration ?
Any pointers , well appreciated !
Cheers

Well you could try the migration of the InfoCenter which talks about the mirgration process.
One thing it will tell you right off is that the migration commands do differ between WMBv6 & WMBv5.3 - you can't migate from WMBv5.3!
(And it serves your line of business right for still using v5.3 after it's been out of support for so long. They took a calculated risk by not upgrading before this, and that risk just blew up in their faces.)
The same is true if the x of v6.x is 6.0 not 6.1. There's no migration path from v6.0 for the same reason there's no path from v5.3. Bang.
I think your line of business can assume that the product has not evolved but changed utterly. IIBv9 has very little in common even with v6.0 (DFDL not MRM, Applications not Projects, etc) and IMHO your line of business would do better to rewrite flows in IIBv9 from the original requirements than try to shoehorn the code in.
It'd certainly be more trustworth in production that way. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

WMBv5.whatever
If the OP meant WMBv6.x and WM[b]Qv5.3, my comments stand _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
