Hi all,
not sure if this is the right forum to post this question , so , sorry for a possible off-topic.
my employer is promoting a major effort to re-design/re-implement a lot of information systems.
Today we have several .Net , VB programs that receive messages (from company suppliers and customers) and perform integration in several target information systems.
This messages are email messages, sent by clients and suppliers to a set of email addresses.
This Email messages can have documents attached. There is a set of rules (hardcoded ) that define the destination target information system where the content of the email should be integrated. This integration has several degrees of complexity.
It can be a simple insert into a table signaling the arrival of a message, or something more complex like inserting business data in several tables and saving attached docs to the enterprise content management (Filenet).
we have the opportunity of redesign this programs and we are considering the usage of IBM MQ + Broker to achieve it.
My concern is the design of a system , using the combination of MQ + Broker to deal with this requirements. I'd like to ear from your experiencies on this kind of integrations, sharing your experiences on design choices, pitfalls and other considerations .
We are using Broker 8.0.0.3 on windows platform. Email server is microsoft exchange (although we prefer a "provider-free" integration system, as in the future we can move email to a cloud provider) _________________ Best regards

If your basic requirement is o receive email messages, yes, we can achieve this in WMB. |

Hi Kaaviraaj, thank you for you reply.
I'm sure that WMB can receive email, my focus with this post is to understand the kind of nodes that should be used for my requirements (integrating high volume of email messages), it's strengts, limitations and possible workarouds.
Should we use the EmailInputNode ? should i expect to get limitations (on email message size, attachments, encodings, performance, etc) that force use to use another solution like javamail or similar ? _________________ Best regards

Use the standard WMB functions, do not use other ways of achieving the same thing. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |
