I am running webclient (FMCXYZ)configured on websphere on windows2000.The webapplication is MQWFCleint-FMCXYZ. My question is can I create another web client conifuration say (FMCPQR) on the same machine to access the same workflow server as FMCXYZ. The reason for me to do this is, I would like to add some additional features to the JSPs supplied, but would like to have as another lapplication rather than the standard webclient. Also, the link to the new webclient would be provided to few people.
Will this cause any problem to the existing set up?Suppose, I delete a workflow instance using FMCPQR, then it need to reflect in FMCXYZ also. Is this possible?
Please let me know |

I dont see any problem with this. You should be able to do it with out any problem.

Yes it is. As both the configurations will be pointing to the same Workflow server, any changes done from one will reflect in the other.

I do this all the time. I have one configuration that runs TomCat and another that Runs WebSphere, both point to the Same Runtime database. _________________ John McDonald

One note to add..
You can't have two Webapps that access Workflow within the same App Server. You will need to have multiple app servers to make this happen. For instance:
I have one WAS sever with Appserver "MQWF1" and Appserver "MQWF2" both containing a web app that is a Workflow web client. This configuration will work properly.
I have attempted in the past to run multiple Workflow Webclient Webapps under one appserver with no luck. Now I have been able to run multiple web apps as long as only one web app access workflow. When I did this they both came up properly, however, only one will work properly.
I did get some confermation on this from IBM and they do not support multiple Workflow Web Client web apps running under one app server.
So in short.. You can only have one of the many web apps running under one app server access workflow. _________________ Dave Krier
