Should the xmit queues defined on CF using QSG be defined persistant or non persitant? We are at ZOS 1.13 and MQ version 7.0.1. Most of the Local Queues are defined as shared and are using cf structures. Any opinion from Gurus here?
Thanks in advance |

Queues are neither persistent nor non-persistent. Messages can be either persistent or non-persistent.
The queue attribute persistence_as_q_def allows programmers to optionally have persistence of a message take on the persistence value sysadmins set at the queue. It's a programmer option. If the program sets the message to persistent (or non-persistent) your persistence_as_q_def queue attribute value will not override persistence as set by the program. Only if the programmer specifies persistence_as_q_def does the persistence become that specified at the queue. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

There is one another interesting fact ,the messages even if are not persistent if written to the cf queues ,and not on local queues on pageset will survive as long as the cf stays active ... |
