Hi,

My Unix 4 letter ID is S6YJ. On a Linux machine how to find the associated user name of that 4 letter ID?

I want to see S6YJ associated to real name like Samuel Perkins.....

Have you asked this in a Linux forum?

IIRC it's in the /etc/passwd file if whoever set up the id bothered to put in a real name
