Is there an immediate window in debugger that I can use? Using WMB 7.0.0.5.

I was able to successfully enable debugging and step through the message flows, look at the variables change as i step through, etc.

But wondering if there is a way to type a ESQL function in a window to get the immediate results?

For example - lets say I'm at a breakpoint and want to see the value of this at runtime:

SUBSTRING(CAST(Root.MQMD.MsgId AS CHARACTER)FROM 3 FOR 4

but hadn't already declared it as a variable.

Other tools I've used I can type any valid command in a window and get the current value while I debug mode.

PS - my example is just an example. I know I can look at the current message tree in debugger and and look at the MSGID and determine what my substring is trying to do.

There is no Enter Expression-like window only Variables. As you know, runtime and developer toolkit are separated, so it is not a simple task to implement such a functionality.

You can change the value of variables in debugger but not the expression.
