We appear to have a performance issue when calling oracle stored procedures from Message Broker. The equivalent call from ICS is substantially quicker. Are there any known issues.

What version of WMB? What have you done to isolate the issue to ensure that it's definitely a WMB problem, and not related to some of the code in the flows? Have you looked at enabling ODBC trace to try and track down the issue?

8.0.0.2 calling procedures on Oracle 8. Trace points just before and just after the calls.

It appears that this is only in one particular flow. In other flows WMB is outperforming ICS.
I'll get my shovel and do some more digging.

A combination of UserTrace and ODBC Trace ( http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v8r0m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.etools.mft.doc%2Fau14215_.htm ) should give you sufficient ammunition to pin down the issue!
