Urgent help is needed........
I've got a channel between OS390 (SENDING END) and Win2000(RECEIVING END). this channel, is in an INDOUBT status. The LUWID's at both ends of the channel are different, and I can't get them the same using resolve commit, or resolve backout. Something went really really wrong.
Now I don't know how get get these agents in sync with echt other. Could someone please help me. A part of my production evirenmont is down at the moment.
Thanks for all the help in advance.......

Hi,
If things are that bad, what about deleting the channels (sender and receiver) and recreating them? Take a backup of your definitions first of course....
Another thought, what's the XMITQ depth on the sending side? Deleting the channel could well "lose" the messages that are in-flight, it depends how bad the need for restoring the channel is.
It's weird that resolve failed to work. What error message do you get?

Thanks for the idea.......
It all had to do with a disc 100% full at the receiving end..... All mq communication was stopped when receiving this 100 %.
Deleting a channel which is INDOUBT will not work !!!!!!!!!!
What I finally did, was, create discspace at the receiving end, and then removed the right message from the both SYSTEM.CHANNEL.SYNCQ ('s).
After restarting both qmanagers everything worked perfectly again.
And this with the loss, of only ONE message. |
