Dear all experts,

I´ve just installed IIB9, and created a default broker. But, for some users the Broker is displayed running, and for some other users, it is displayed stopped.

But, all users are in the mqm, and mqbrkrs groups.

What could be the problem ?

Thanks

What does the output of 'mqsilist' for all these different users show?

Perhaps their viewer needs a simple refresh?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

I love that you added "QM." to your Qmgr name. I'm sure nobody would have any idea it was a Qmgr without "QM." in the name. Names like this are a pet peeve of mine.

Next, never put root in mqm or mqbrkrs as this is a security exposure. Always sudo to mqm or the broker service ID to do the corresponding work.

Last but not least, for every ID in the mqm group, ensure that the group mqm is their primary group. Doing so will avoid inadvertent permissions from being implicitly granted.

Dear Joseph,

Thanks a lot for the repply, but it think you did not answered my question, or resolved my problem. You only have criticized, baseless and without understanding that this is a development environment. I'm not naive about to post here full details of my environment or change them. Thanks, but still with the same problem. I think it could be something related to the size of the User name or some question of the operating system.

Yes! For WMQ on UNIX, only the first 12 characters are seen. I would have to say this is the root of your issue.

I have seen similar issues with long AD IDs that were also being used in UNIX systems via LDAP.
