What is the procedure detailed in the infocenter? Did you follow it to the tee? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

hi fjb,
the procedure of deleting monitors is that, you should run the following command to delete a monitor "fteDeleteMonitor -mn Monitor -ma AGENT1" or run the fteCleanAgent AGENT1 |

Hi daks,
I would suggest that either:
1) The fteDeleteMonitor and fteCleanAgent commands are not successfully completing for some reason, hence the resource monitors aren't being deleted at all, or
2) Someone or some process is resubmitting the request to the agent to recreate the resource monitors.
You can always try manually cleaning the agent by stopping the agent and then draining the SYSTEM.FTE queues of all the messages, e.g., using the WMQ Explorer. This is essentially what the fteCleanAgent command does anyway. Specifically for monitors and scheduled transfers, you should clear the messages from the agent's SYSTEM.FTE.EVENT.<agent_name> queue.
The WebSphere MQ FTE agent won't just recreate the monitors itself after it's been successfully deleted without being requested to, e.g., by running the feCreateMonitor command. |
