We have a situation where we need to send a number of identical to a remote queue manager over a SDR/RCVR channel.

Ok so far.

The bandwidth to the remote QM is limited so I was looking into the case for setting up some form of Pub/Sub where I can send one message to the remote QM and it would get published to the different queues via a subscription. Thus saving sending many (up to 10) identical messages over the link.

All the documented examples relate to publishing with a subscription from the remote QM.

Firstly, is this possible without some done running in the Remote QM to take a normal write to a Remote Queue and the turn it into a publication.

If it is, then any tips on how to configure it would be most welcome.

I've tried defining a remote queue to using the Topic name or the Topic String but I get a 2085 and the message in the remote QM DLQ.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

The target queue at the remote end can be a topic alias queue (AFAIK).

Usual pub/sub duplication set up (as posted here many times).

Thanks. I'd forgotten about the Topic Alias. All sorted now.
