Hi Experts,

We have an issue where an application is publishing messages to a MQQueue from where it is routed to subscribers.
The throughput normally is 4-5 pubs/sec but recently there was a delay noticed where messages were being published per 1 message/2-3 secs.
We also noticed error as below but no FDC's generated

(Failed to attach shared memory segment: shmat(ShmId 0x00000056) [rc=-1 errno=12] Not enough space).

Any inputs on resolving this? Bouncing the MQ is not an option right now.

MQ version 6 (I know!!)
OS - Solaris.

Try and recycle the applications. It shoud free the mem segments...

Hello fjb_saper,

Recycle is a solution to 99% of the problems. But if it wud have been so easy to just recycle applications and MQ without an impact, this site would not have existed ,

It might be easier to recycle the applications than recycling the qmgr...

Unless it's a problem with application coding, software administration, topology, design....

Yes it would.

And if you've got locked memory segements, recycling the applications (or WMQ) is a recommended solution. If you don't believe us, ask the sys admin for that box to release them manually using OS commands.

Then run before they lynch you.
