| Basic requirement for using JMS |

If I want to use JMS instead of MQ classes for JAVA then I need a LDAP server for JNDI ?
I also need a transaction manager Infact I need a full J2EE server to make sure that my application is compatible with J2EE . But my problem is I do not want spend huge amount in Websphere application server enterprise edition now. (I will do it later when I business grows) But still I want to use JMS . Can any one suggest what is my minimum requirement for using JMS .
I think I need
1. LDAP server , but which one is good I do not know. My client dose not want free software (don't know why ) so I have to get atlest one with a support.
2. I need a transaction Manager if I want tho phase commits with DB. But I do not know any other than Web shpere which works with MQ
3. ... and may be some more which I do not know .
Please suggest.

You could use File Based JNDI. However, LDAP is a better approach.
Also, you can avoid JNDI completely by using MQConnectionFactory class (MQ JMS class). But this bind code to MQ Series only.

I don't know why you need Application Server to run JMS (MQ JMS). You can write programs w/o Application Server. Unless, you want to server webpages/servlets etc. That is your application's requirement NOT JMS's requirement.

Netscape, IBM ...there are many that you can buy. I'll write one for you, if you are ready to pay ...

Again, refer to my answer to your question for two-phase commit. MQ Series can be used as coordinator...you don't need Web Sphere to do this for you. Seems like you are in the market to buy anything that is out there...rather than looking at what YOU need ..
