Hello,
I have a process "PROCESS1" which contains a process activity relative to "PROCESS2" (i.e PROCESS2 is a subprocess of PROCESS1).
I have as a staff the following personns "Person1", "Person2".
PROCESS2 is set as "NON autonomous" for administration and nobody is indicated in "process administrator", neither in "predefined staff members" for "PROCESS2".
On the process activity relative to "PROCESS2", I did a static assignment to "Personn2" ( on the Staff1 tab).
At RunTime, "Person1" is the process starter of "PROCESS1" and becomes the process administrator of "PROCESS1" (which is normal).
I thought that my subprocess "PROCESS2" would inherit "PROCESS1" administrator i.e "PROCESS2" would have "Personn1" as a process administrator and "Personn2" would be the process starter of "PROCESS2" ...
But it is NOT the case : "Personn2" is the process starter of "PROCESS2" (which is normal) and the process administrator of "PROCESS2" which seems strange to me.
In the "BuildTime manual" for MQWF 3.3.2
p123, it is written :
1- You can specify the process administrator, that is, Person,
explicitly or select From container, that is, to be taken from the
process input container.
...
...
.....
2- If this member is not set and if the process is a subprocess and
has no staff autonomy defined, the process administrator of the
parent process is defined as process administrator.
3- In all other cases, the process starter is defined as process
administrator.
4- However, if there is no process starter, the system administrator
is defined as process administrator.
Please could you explain ?
THX FOR YOUR HELP. |

I just tried your scenario, and got the same results when I ran my test with the Staff checkbox bot checked and unchecked.
I did this test on V330 SP4 (3.3.0.4). As I don't have my V332 system available at the moment, but I don't think that this could make a difference.
You probably should open a PMR with IBM. _________________ John McDonald
