Hi Everybody,

I had installed MQ on my linux mint system earlier using following command without any issue

sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesRuntime-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesJava-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesJRE-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesGSKit-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesServer-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesSamples-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesExplorer-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm

and even removed it once and reinstalled earlier using below command
sudo rpm -e --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesSamples-7.5.0-1.i386

Now my 90days period is over and I want to install it again. but getting following error

Acer MQIBM # sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps --force-debian MQSeriesRuntime-7.5.0-1.i386.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]

ERROR: Specified path is not empty

error: %pre(MQSeriesRuntime-7.5.0-1.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
error: MQSeriesRuntime-7.5.0-1.i386: install failed

Please help me asap in this regard.

Location: Somewhere over the Rainbow this side of Never-never land.
firstly please download the developer edition it does not have an expiry period

Then make sure that there is nothing in directories such as /opt/mqm & /var/mqm

don't forget to look out for any hidden directories so use ls -la /var/mqm etc
