I have a MRM message set/message with a bunch of fields defined as Strings (PIC X). How can I change these to Integers.

When I check the element out in the MRM view, the type is greyed out so you cant change it.

I have tried creating a new integer element, but can only add a new element but only at the front of a group..

I really don't want to recreate the whole group, but only change a few elements under the group.. Is there a way to do this.. What Am I missing?

I don't think there is a way to change it once you've defined it.

However, in your ESQL, you can CAST it as Integers.

As for creating elements and appearing in front of a group, you can REORDER them (right click on your msg_type -> reorder)
