I have set the first notification to User A
And checked the box "Send the second notification to the same user"
But the second notification goes to the process administrator
I expected the second notification USer A
Any ideas? _________________ Sb |

Second notification is always sent to the Process Administrator.
If you set the first notification to process Administrator a second notification is not sent unless you specify " send second notification to the same user".
So, I think this option is not useful for you.

"If selected, the second notification is sent to the same staff member as the first notification instead of being sent to the process administrator."
The above statement is from the Help menu in Workflow
What do you think? _________________ Sb |

I dont see this. May be I missed something. As fas as I understand, the second notification is for Process Administrator only. I checked the buildtime help and it confirmed what I said. Please let me know where you saw the above statement.

Sat,
I just saw what you were saying. You are right, in the buildtime online help it says "If selected, the second notification is sent to the same staff member as the first notification instead of being sent to the process administrator."
But if you refer the buildtime manual, it says this option is useful in resending the notification to the Process Administrator, if he recieved the first notification. Usually if the First notification is sent to the process administrator, the second notification is ignored. I think the behaviour you are noticing confirms this.
May be it is better to post this question in the IBM forum.

The doc is right.... just not clear.
The only way to have the 2nd notification go to the Same user is to have the First Notification go to the Process Administrator.
Because as previously stated the second notification always goes to the process administrator. It used to be that if the First Notification went to the PA there was NO Second Notification. This option lets that happen. _________________ John McDonald
