Dear All,
The following is the situation.
MQseries server is installed on WindowsNT,Oracle is on SunSolaris.
can any one tell me how do i configure the Queue manager for XA Transaction support (Oracle as the participating resource manager).
I had gone through some IBM documents , but am a bit confused about
how to make the switch load file , if the oracle is on a different m/c , which is my case, and also pls tell me , what should be my XAOpen string?..I think for Oracle XAclose string is not required.
Thanx

I'm using XA Transaction support in HP-UX environment. However, this should cast some light on your case:
XAOpenString=Oracle_XA+Acc=P/<USER>/<PASS>+SesTm=35+LogDir=/var/mqm/qmgrs/QMGR/errors+SqlNet=ORCL
In the example above, replace <USER> and <PASS> with appropriate values. ORCL is service name I have defined in tnsnames.ora file.
Provided you have an appropriate definition in tnsnames.ora on Windows, you'll be able to access Oracle on Solaris.
As for the switch library, it is the same - no matter whether the server is on the same or different machine.
