Hi All,
We are seeing intermittent message flow hang issues on production which uses SAP Request node while connecting to SAP(EIS) systems where by killing the execution group process is the only option to fix the problems as of now. These flows are quiet an old one (deployed to live in 2010ish) which we never had the same issue as above.
Logs: There are no errors or exceptions logged in wmbevent.log when this issue happens.
Initial Investigation: We have tried switching on the trace logs to see if any specific message type is causing the flow to go into hang status but that seems to be not the scenario.
Whats changed recently: There is a data center migration going on at the moment where there are intermittent packet drops.
my understanding on the issue: Initially when a message flow establishes a connection with SAP (which is load balanced between 2 servers in our case) it sticks to that connection for processing the requests, so when there is a connection drop due to network issues broker is unable to detect the connection and flow goes into a hang status while trying to process a request.
Unfortunately i couldn't raise a PMR to IBM as we cancelled the support contract and the only option is to fix it in house and so is the reason still stuck at v6.
Can someone shed some light on this issue and any tips to resolve/ investigate further will be really helpful.

My suggestion is try to clear all SYSTEM.BROKER.** queues and restart the broker. We had similar kind of issue with PeopleSoftInput node. We tried this and it works fine now. It may be wrong in your case.
I don't think clearing SYSTEM.BROKER.TIMEOUT.QUEUE (is the only queue i could see) will fix the issue as this will hold the messages that are timed out.
However I have tried the option and restarted the broker which haven't fixed the issue.
Now that our DC move is coming to an end in a weeks time hopefully we have reliable network connection and no hang issues.
But is there a way to reset the connection between ESB and SAP without having to restart broker or kill execution group process in broker v6.1.0.9 when we have issues ?
