Hello,
In the past I have used MQ in the IBM Mainframe application to process messages.
Now I need to design a Websphere MQ on a secured environment after we consolidated multiple Oracle databases into one.
We want to use Websphere MQ to exchange files with outsider. The environment is Solaris Unix and Windows Server. MQ is installed on the Windows Server.
I am looking for a template for a design document that can be utilized so I do not need to start from scratch.
Thank you for any help.

Exchanging data with an outsider in a secured environment is commonly called B2B (Business To Business). Assuming both businesses have MQ and the files can be sent as messages:
- Use SSL/TLS on the MQ channels
- Don't use MQ clusters
- Look at a secure B2B implementation in chapter 10 of the IBM Redbook at http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg248069.html
- Consider using WMQ AMS
- FTE can be used for B2B file transfer but the agents need access to each others queues
Does that help? _________________ Glenn

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
