Hi all,
while running Smitty in trial mode, I have the following problem:
SELECTED FILESETS: The following is a list of filesets that you asked to
install. They cannot be installed until all of their requisite filesets
are also installed. See subsequent lists for details of requisites.
#1 mqm.msg.en_US 7.0.1.10 # WebSphere MQ Messages - U.S
MISSING REQUISITES: The following filesets are required by one or more of the selected filesets listed above. They are not currently installed
and could not be found on the installation media.
(Selected filesets which depend upon these requisites are referenced in
parentheses.)
mqm.msg.en_US 7.0.0.0 # Base Level Fileset (dep #s: 1)
Questions:
- How is it possible to run the current platform without that file?
- Has anyone a clue on how to resolve the problem like: manually installing the 7.0.0.0 file before the upgrade? or bypassing the verification?
Thanks,
Laurent LANDREAU |

You're trying to install a fixpack without installing a GA or refreshpack first. |

Thanks for your initial answer.
But MQ version 7.0.1.0 is already installed and running into test and production, including the language packs. I just wanted to apply 7.0.1.10 on top of it.
That is the reason I do not understand why the installer wants to have the original language filesets, and makes that a prerequisite for the installation of the new version!
I am now wandering how does the installer define where the current installation is, and if it is looking in the right place.
Thanks for your help,

You may have to upgrade to GA first (7.0.1.3 ) _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

In UNIX, it will be either /opt/mqm or /usr/mqm. It is not until WMQ 7.1 and up, that you can specify the installation path (thus allowing multiple installs of WMQ). |
