Hi,
Just being curious...
Noticed a folder in the /var/mqm/qmgrs/QMGR/scratch in the Unix based system where MQv6 is installed (even though its found on 7).
I don't see much of information in the Info-Center for this "scratch" folder and why it exists. Does it get created after the Qmgr is started first time Or Dynamically based on some condition Or this folder/files inside it are referred by some of MQ objects at particular situation ?
If you've observed, more details are appreciated. Thanks !! _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it.

The scratch folder contains scratchpad objects. These are internal files which should not be messed with. The main user of them are channels which use them to store synchronisation data as part of the assured deliver mechanism.
Cheers,
Paul. _________________ Paul Clarke
