I am running WMQ 7.5
I have a qm that was created on a RAID (it is not MI).
The RAID is no longer available, but I can not delete the qm
I get the following
Code: |
-bash-4.1$ dltmqm WQM1
AMQ7019: An error occurred while creating or checking the directory structure
for the queue manager.
-bash-4.1$
-bash-4.1$
-bash-4.1$ dltmqm -z WQM1
-bash-4.1$ dspmq
QMNAME(WQM1) STATUS(Status not available)
-bash-4.1$ |
Should I simply remove any stanzas from the mqi.ini, or should I try something else ? What is the recommended protocol fo rhandling this
Thanks |

Since WQM1 is the one and only qmgr installed, you have some options.
You could uninstall WMQ completely, then reinstall it.
Or, you could manually delete (erase, remove) under qmgrs directory WQM1 and below; then edit the system-wide mqs.ini, and delete stanzas for WQM1.
If you intend to create another qmgr, do the 2nd thing. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Although it does not hamper technically, but if you wish, you can delete log directory. for WQM1. |

The last time we had a similar problem, we put a pmr and IBM support told us this
Delete the entry in mqs.ini,
Delete the log files, (Take backups)
Create a new queue manager with the same name
Delete the newly created entry QMGR.0000 in mqs.ini and replace it with the new Queue manager name (or just remove the .0000)
run strmqm -c qmgr (After copying the backup data) |
