Hi all,
I have installed XML Spy plugin yesterday, and not able to find how to uninstall or remove the plugin. All my xml files basically opening with xml spy UI. I tried to check software updates and Addons but dint find uninstall highlighted for xml spy. I only see update , properties and revert configurations highlighted which is of no use. Also tried to check preferences to disable the association but not lucky here too.
Guys, Kindly please help me how to get back the good old message broker ui for xml files.
Thanks and Much Appreciate. |

The Toolkit is just Eclipse. You remove the plugin as you would normally. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

right click on an XML file, and choose a different editor?
Read the installation instructions for XMLSpy and see if they say how to uninstall? |

Perhaps Altova (the makers of XML-Spy) did't include a method of removing their plugin in the package. Perhaps it didn't occur to them that anyone would ever want to remove their fantastic all singing all dancing software?
That said, the OP should be asking Altova or Eclipse as this is much more of an Eclipse issue than it is an IBM one. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

Or asking Google. This can't be the first time someone's wanted to remove a plug in from Eclipse. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

thanks and appreciate your replies. I agree with each and everyone of you. Yes i can still do right click and select proprietary xml editor, but just wanted to give a try. Will dig more and update if i am able to uninstall the plugin.
Cheers (almost time for happy hour EST),
