Hi masters,
May I use PCF message to get queues, channels or qmgrs attributes from a remote qmgr which exists in remote server by connecting a local explorer? |

Are you using PCF or a local explorer? The 2 methods are not often used in conjunction.
A local explorer can obtain details of a remote queue manager.
A application using PCF can do the same either by clienting onto the queue manager in question or sending the PCF messages as request/reply pairs over the WMQ topology in the usual way. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

MQINQ can get some attributes of objects, without the complex code and security issues of using PCFs. MQINQ is usually sufficient for most applications.
Are you writing a monitor or management tool? Many people have trodden that path. Maybe there is something already available that meets your need. _________________ Glenn |

Yes. You can use PCF messages to talk to remote queue managers, regardless of what you mean by "remote".
Unless your MQ network is properly secured. |
