I am installing MQ V7.5 as part of the installation of Integration Bus for developers. So the MQ 7.5 media is part of the IB for developer package. I am installing it on my laptop running WIN8 Pro.

I got this error
Error 1723 There is a problem with the Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action iwiDeleteUpgradedMqUserId

The error windows says that it is deleting MQ userId. This is a new laptop and has no MQ installed before. I am not sure why the install is deleting MQ user Id.
I logon to WIN8 using a local Id with Administrator type.

Any suggestion ?

I have posted this under Message Broker support first because the problem happened during the installation of IB developer edition.
After some isolation work I found out that the problem was during the MQ V75 install. So I post it here.

To install on Windows 8 you need the WMQ v7.5.0.2 bundle; you cannot load vanilla WMQ v7.5 and then try to patch it either.

MQ that was packaged in Integration Bus for Developer is 7.5.0.1. That may be the reason for the error. The package says that it can be installed under WIN8 professional.
I have successfully installed the IB for developer on WIN 7.

My mistake - shooting from the lip again - as I managed to find my post where I queried the install of WMQ v7.5 on Windows 8.
