Hi, I want to connect to Remote QM using rfhutilc.
I know there is a format to give the QM name with the host details in the Queue Manager tab, But I don't have the exact format.
Can anyone please guide me on that. I tried by creating a "rfhutil.cmd" file with the below details. It doesn't work. Is there a way where I can give user name and pwd also?
set MQSERVER=<QMname>.TCP/TCP/<IP>(<Portno>)
set PATH=C:\Users\IBM_ADMIN\Downloads\ih03;%PATH%
start rfhutilc.exe |

You know, it might not be the right thing to do, but I've been putting my flavorite sPacs into the <instDir>\IBM\WebSphere MQ\tools\c\Samples\Bin which gets added to your PATH.
If you do uninstalls or upgrades, this make cause this directory to remain. |

MQ doesn't support passwords, without the use of exits. |

We generally specify the connection string inside the tool. The syntax is the same as if you are setting the variable at a command line.
We have a server conn channel, secured with a channel exit, used only by our MQ admins.
Because we are connecting from a windows client machine to a unix machine, there is a mismatch of user ID. Example:
Windows credentials are myDomain\safraser
Unix credentials are fraser.
Easy fix: create a local windows account for fraser. Use the "run as" command to launch rfhutilc. |
