We are using Weblogic with MQSeries5.2 and wanted to know whether I can define a MQQueueConnectionFactory and MQQueues and register in Weblogic JNDI and then access them thru my java program to put and get messages? I mean is Weblogic compatible with MQ in this way? Thanks.

WebLogic is an application server. In order to retrieve messages from MQSeries queues, you will need to use MQSeries code. You have choices including the IBM JMS implementation which should run fine under WebLogic.

Kolban,
Thanks for the reply. What I actually meant was can I have a JMS program deployed in weblogic accessing the MQQueueConnectionFactory and MQQueue through JNDI tp put and get messages? In other words can I register my Queues and topics in JNDI and access it via the JMS Code deployed on weblogic? appreciate all tour ideas.

Hi,
We had some problems if we tried to use the MQseries Queues using Weblogic JMS. We encountered some problems say if my CLASSPATH first contains the weblogic.jar and then the com.ibm.mq.jar, it was not able to pick up the MQseries queue. So we defined a bridge betwwn Weblogic JMS and MQseries JMS to do the things.

Thanks and Regards,
Amit
