Hi collegues,
I'm planning the migration from 7.1 to 7.5 on Solaris and I'm wondering where I can find the version number of GSKit is in the packages. Where can I find which version of GSKit is in MQ 7.5.0.0 and which one in FixPack 7.5.0.1?

The product readmes are supposed to list them (see V7.1 ReadMe as an example), but they got missed for the V7.5 readmes. This is currently being addressed.
In the mean time, here is the answer:-
MQ V7.5.0 GA 8.0.14.21
MQ V7.5.0 FP 1 8.0.14.26

Thanks for your answer.
But now I'm a bit confused because a few minutes ago I found a way to list what's inside the packages.
Usualy I would execute pkgadd to view the selection of installable packages but I've got no root rights yet. Instead I used pkgtrans.

Now I've seen the following sentence on page "Installing WebSphere MQ server on Solaris" of MQ 7.5 Infocenter:
"You do not need the -G option on the pkgadd command as GSKit is now installed as part of the WebSphere MQ installation."
Coherent I don't need to uninstall GSKit before installing fixpack 7.5.0.1. Is it correct? |

It is correct.
You do not need to uninstall GSkit before installing a fixpack.
You have never needed to.

But in previous fixpacks they always told us to deinstall GSKit. For example at "3.4.3.4 Solaris" in readme file of fixpack 7.0.1.6:

Shut down all WebSphere MQ applications and any other products that are using GSKit. Before installing the WebSphere MQ fix pack uninstall the old level of the GSKit packages using the commands:
pkgrm gsk7bas
pkgrm gsk7bas64
During the uninstallation process you will be warned that other products have a dependency on the GSKit packages, reply 'Yes' to continue the uninstallation process.
When installing the WebSphere MQ fix pack the new GSKit packages gsk7bas and gsk7bas64 will be listed with the WebSphere MQ package.

But now I know that I don't need it anymore and it's OK for me. Thanks again.
