There has been a few posts in recent weeks about missing packages when installing Broker onto some Linux installs.

I took CentOS 6.4 and installed int into a VM using the smart installer in VMWare. This uses a standard set of packages. I selected the GNOME desktop and the Developer tools packages.

I did have to install a few extra packages in order to get WMQ 7.5.0.1 and Broker 9.0.0.0 to install and work.

Here the commands used to add the missing packages.

Code:

yum install libstdc++.i686 compat-libstdc++-33.x86_64 compat-libstdc++-33.i686
yum install gtk2.i686
yum install libcanberra-gtk2.i686 gtk2-engines.i686
yum install libXp.i686 libXp.x86_64
yum install PackageKit-gtk-module.i686

One or two might not be needed but this is what I installed.

I hope this helps one or two people in the future. Note that this list is a lot less than for previous versions (hurrah)

[/code]

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Thanks for the information - very useful.
I assume that your installation included the toolkit? I'm guessing it probably wouldn't need the gtk libs without that.
