Hey folks,

First post and was just curious since I didn't find anything on the forums about this.

Currently IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for WebSphere MQ seems to only support Linux, OS/390/ and z/OS

1. Has anyone heard of a Windows version?
2. z/OS does that run on AS400?
3. Has anyone used this product for configuration management of their MQ enterprise and if so on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best) could you rate the following:
- ease of deployment
- hardware required
- flexibility for alerting
- high-availability i.e. group manager availability etc.
- cost

Any other high-lights would be nice too. I'd like to start trying to fullying understand contact admin with Contact Admin and IBM's Omegamon strengths and weaknesses.

Thanks,
Lex

Are very good Monitors & very very stables. We have for z/OS, DB2, IMS & CICS for 6 years without problems (for MQ we have ASG-TMon on z/OS & distributed (MQEnterprise)).

As a former employee of Candle (who originally did the Omegamon family before they were acquired by Tivoli), and a current employee of Cressida, I can say that:
The Omegamon's are a fine piece of work;
And if you would have a need to monitor platforms not supported by Tivoli Omegamon, you might want to have a look at the Cressida TeQuest product, that can extend the platform coverage to most other WMQ platforms, as long as the target platform supports PCF commands

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_i
OS/400 became i5/OS and then simply IBM i
Maybe the next evolution is just a period . or a vertical bar |
