Is there a way to gather statistics from the Queue Manager (# of messages per day, time to deliver, etc..)
We are using V5.0 |

Unfortunately the queue manager only keeps a limited number of statistics. These are on a per queue basis and include the number of puts, number of gets and the high water mark. Other than that, there is nothing else (that I know off) maintained by MQSeries in the way of operational stats. |

Do you know of any 3rd party products that would assist me in gathering statistics? |

There are several monitoring tools for MQSeries. They mainly focus on problem detection, but also collect a good amount of statistics for performance metrics. Some of the more popular tools are:
Candle's Command Center for MQSeries
MQSoftware's Q!Pasa
contact admin's MQControl
Tivoli
