HI,

I am getting the below error while trying to install WMB 7.0.0.1 in windows 7 Home Premium. User-id used for installation is having administration rights.I have tried to install using custom option by specifying different directory path, but still got the same error.
I have searched for the error and couldn't get solution. Has anyone come across this issue..?

The below directories are hidden folders in windows

C:\ProgramData\Application Data\IBM

(May 24, 2013 3:54:41 PM), mqsi.Setup, com.installshield.product.actions.CreateDirectory, err, ProductException: (error code = 601; message="err"; additional data = [ServiceException: (error code = 315; message = "could not create directory C:\ProgramData\Application Data\IBM"; severity = 0)])
STACK_TRACE: 12
ProductException: (error code = 601; message="err"; additional data = [ServiceException: (error code = 315; message = "could not create directory C:\ProgramData\Application Data\IBM"; severity = 0)])
at com.installshield.product.actions.CreateDirectory.install(CreateDirectory.java:41)

You need Windows 7 Professional as a minimum for broker.

On the other point you raise.
I agree that the way Microsoft hides a whole slew of important folders is just silly.
One of these folders is used by windows (IE) to cache files you are downloading. So ever wondered why your disk is filling up and you can't find out why, then go search for the hidden folders.
