Hi Gents,
I have an issue with runmqtmc (using MQ Client 7.5) on Linux
Historically we have used this with -r option to reconnect (since 7.0.1.x)
However, I've only noticed that this ONLY works when you stipulate the MQSERVER variable.
Living in an ever increasing paranoid world I attempted to SSL the connection by setting the variables for the profile SSLKEYR, MQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB
Now, these all work because I've tested connectivity to the Queue manager without -r and I can confirm that connectivity is fine, the client channel, client connection channel, SSL, MCA, the initq all behave as you'd expect.
Except runmqtmc.
When I run it, it will close with the following:
/opt/mqm/bin/runmqtmc -r -m QMNAME -q INITQ

04/26/2013 03:11:21 PM : WebSphere MQ trigger monitor ended.
Nothing is logged on the MQ client error logs, nothing on the QM logs either, no FFST, no MQRC either...
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can further troubleshoot this issue? |

Working as expected. Use the multiple definitions in the conname to reconnect to a multi-instance qmgr. Read up on why this is a challenge in the manual for the channel table.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Can you take an MQAPI client trace of runmqtmc and see what it says?
Also, I'm glad you're happy with MA7K. People keep telling me to write a version for Unix, but there's no equivalent to Windows services on Unix, and the source code is tightly coupled to the Windows APIs, so it would be a lot of effort to end up duplicating the functionality of runmqtmc.... |
