hi
there is a topic similar to this but there is no solution.
We have a Service which run 24/7 when started it works good. when msg comes in, the onmessage is trigger and work good.
we drop msg after say 1 hr it work fine 2 etc.. next day morning i see msg in the Q not consumed. so we have to restart and it works again.. so looks like due to inactivity this happens, is there a way to simulate with shorter time any setting. We don;t see any exception etc.
Any direction on this issue

Okay, this sounds more like a WebSphere/JEE type question.
There are loads of things that can bring down a listener, or stop an activation spec' message consumer.
I'd suggest looking at the SystemOut.log for the applcation server, to see what it tells you about why it's stopped listening.
If you want help in doing that, or if you think you need trace turning on in the application server, please post a follow-on message, and I'll try to help. _________________ Distributed Systems Professional Services

The listener shuts down in cases of exceptions. |
