Mornin' folks.

I'm looking to implement an RHEL OS cluster with two members. Each member will have the same queue manager defined. These will use their own binaries and shared data for logs and queues etc. Only one member will ever be active.

I have been told that it is necessary to have some kind of checking in place that performs a look see to make sure that the active member is ticketyboo. If this fails then the other member containing its queue manager will be kick started into life and take over the work. Seamlessly and transparently (I hope).

Has anyone implemented this setup, and do you know where I can find out further information on the checking required?

Hope this disnae sound daft.

Windy

So you want the RHEL OS cluster to manage the failover of the queue manager, rather than using the inbuilt multi-instance manager?

There should be scripts or something in the info center about using an HA manager instead of MI.

Just give 'er a scan and then the brother of your father's wife is named after the famous Scottish Poet, Burns.
