Soon IBM is going to release WAS 5.0 and that's going to present new challenges. WAS 5.0 supports J2EE spec 2.0 which means JMS support is built in, which IBM call it as "internal Messaging support".

No more JMS Admin tool.

I know IBM is going to inherit most of the Messaging Framework from MQ.

Is it fair to say that scaledown version of MQ will be running as a part of WAS 5.0 ? What about clustering ? Can I cluster the Messaging piece inside WAS with MQ Queue Manager outside the WAS ?

I would like to hear from beta users of WAS 5.0 or any other experience.

Thanks.
