I am having problems installing toolkit on windows 7.0. The first time I installed the base version of toolkit 7.0 it appeared to work. After that I installed 7.0.5 fix pack and then problems started. I tried uninstalling the base version and reinstall. the installation appears to be ok, but when I open toolkit, I get the error that liscence key not found. Clicking on "Manage liscense" button, opens a window with a liscence status "No liscence key available".
Can someone please help!!
Thanks

Did you purchase the toolkit license?

Do you have the part number for that License?

(clue, there probably isn't one)

There are license files but the TK is not licensed under the PVU system like the Runtime.
THere are some posts in this forum by mqjeff that explain this.

I do not count as a reliable source when it comes to licensing. Fundamentally, it is only your IBM sales representative that can answer these questions.

Toolkit itself does not generally require a license. If a specific instance of Toolkit is complaining about a license, then either it is somehow a trial version that has expired, or there is some NON-Toolkit eclipse component (like RAD) that is installed that DOES need a license.

i did'nt think the toolkit needed liscence. Just downloaded from IBM website. It ran fine the first time for the base version. I wanted to use other nodes available with the fix pack. When I installed the fix pack the problem started.
After several tries, I did another install of the 7.0 and fromt he control panel, set it to run in the compatibility mode for xp.
This appeared to fix base version. I no longer got the liscence error.

I am still stuck with the base version though. SInce I am not able to run fixpacks 7.0.2.

Trial version has a limited subset of nodes. In order to apply fix packs which provides access to many other nodes, you need to have purchased a license.

You must change your broker configuration to ensure that your brokers are running in the operation mode for which you have purchased a license;
