Hi All,
I am checking the oam script backup for one queue Manager.
For almost all the queue manager object , queue, channels, authinfo etc. I am seeing the below entries :
FAIL : unresolved account
Can anybody suggest, what exactly this means and what action/precaution should I take regarding this.
Will this affect the any queue manager activities ?
Its Windows server & MQ version is 7.0 |

On Windows, MQ stores SIDs in its OAM profiles. If the SID (user account identifier) is deleted from Windows, MQ will still have the SID stored in OAM, and it will not be able to resolve it. The solution is to remove all the OAM profiles for the user before deleting it from Windows.
I wrote about this in section 7.3.2 of the new MQ Security Redbook, available at http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg248069.html _________________ Glenn |
