First change the password for [n]iser[/b] user-id and then run mqsichangebroker command with original parameters, this time specify the new password while running this command.
Restart the broker service after this.

Hi Kiran,

I get the response from local IBM support, they say this error is due to the OS configuration at installation time.

Any impact for me to change the user password (other then broker)? If the use id i need to change is the one i use for creating all the db like user id db2inst1?

Regards

well .. all your applications using this user-id will be impacted by changing the password.

OK. If i change the db2inst1 password from the hp sam software, then i need to change the broker with mqsichangebroker. This will solve broker problem, then how about the DB2?

Did i need to issue any command to change the DB2 password for the user?

This server is mainly for broker only, How about qmgr?

DB2 doesn't maintain any internal user-id/pwd, it uses the OS user-id/pwd instead, so you don't have to issue any command to change db2 password. You don't have to change anything in Qmgr either.

sure! I forgot to mention one thing, if you have configured your broker qmgr for 2-phase commit then you will have to update your db password also.

Good luck!

Thanks Kiran i'll go though it.

Now i solve my problem with the changing the user id password setting in the HPUX SAM setting.

I turn off for the password aging option in the SAM for the user id, then i can connect. But funny thing is, if my user id password is expiry then how can i log in to the system?

Thanks for you advices again.
