Dear Experts,

Plz plz help me on this below issue. client is on my head.

I am trying to delete broker component in 6.1 like below.

BIP2393E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1' from data source ''XXDB''.
The broker received an error when executing a database operation. The ODBC return code was '-1'. See the following messages for information obtained from the database about this error.
Use the following messages to determine the cause of the error. Typical causes are incorrect data source or table names. Correct either the database or the broker configuration.
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State ''82''; Native Error Code '0'; Error Text ''523 80''.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State ''82'' SQL Native Error Code '0' SQL Error Text ''523 80''
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the message broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accompanying messages to determine the cause of the error.

BIP8040E: Unable to connect to the database.
The database cannot be accessed with the specified user Id and password pair.
- Check that the database is running.
- On Windows, check that an ODBC connection has been created.
- On systems that use $ODBCINI, check that the file pointed to by $ODBCINI has been correctly updated.
- Use mqsichangebroker brokername -a xxx to set the password to the correct value and try again.
Use mqsichangeconfigmgr configmgr -a xxx to set the password to the correct value and try again.
- Check that the database has an adequate number of database connections available for use.

But I am sure this DB is no more and we can not bring up this DB. Plz let me know with out DB is bringing up how can I delete this Broker component. Even I deleted this from /var/mqsi/components folder. but still i can see this broker from mqsilist Output.

I want to delete this broker component and have to create the new broker...

Location: Somewhere over the Rainbow this side of Never-never land.
If you are using Windows then you have to delete some entries in the registry (Boo Hiss)

Without the DB there is (AFAIK) no easy solution to your problem.

Make sure that you backup your registry settings before you attempt any changes to the registry.

I am using AIX. 100% DB is not getting up.Can u plz tell me how i have to delete the existing brokers?

i deleted brokers folders from /var/mqsi/components path.

but still components are there..plz let me know.....its very urgent for me....

Follow the instructions You cannot delete your broker after deleting your broker database
