This is the first time I am seeing this and any help you could provide will be appreciated.
This happened in Production server and I am not sure where to start.
One day, our PROD MQ Depth started increasing and Broker MQ Input node was not consuming it for some reason. Restarted the server and it started consuming and everything message in the queue got processed. Also to note, the MQSISTOP did not bring the server down smoothly. They had to kill it to bring it back-up.
We did see the following error in the MQ Logs when this happened.
AMQ7469: Transactions rolled back to release log space.
EXPLANATION:
The log space for the queue manager is becoming full. One or more long-running
transactions have been rolled back to release log space so that the queue
manager can continue to process requests.
ACTION:
Try to ensure that the duration of your transactions is not excessive. Consider
increasing the size of the log to allow transactions to last longer before the
log starts to become full.
Our Admin team is saying , some transaction or some long running in the Broker caused this error and it failed to read the queue and it is on development team to prevent this from happening. I am not even sure where to start and what to look at. BTW, the user logs looked clean. No errors.
Any direction you could provide would be really appreciated.
Size and number of uncommitted messages... + size and number of messages on a queue. Also look for poison message processing rules.
Additional traffic to the queue manager....(on line, batch)
Anyways you probably need to look at adding a few more log files to your log setup...
