Hi,

Is-it necessary to have a Default Queue Manager?

If we create many QM and no one of them is a Default QM, may we think about issue that may arises eventually or everything will go smoothly without one?

Thanks,
Bernard

In my opinion, no...

...everything will go smoothly without one, probably more so than with one.

Only my opinion though, others may differ. Best to read what the Info Centre has to say about default queue managers.

Unless I have been unlucky in my research, the Info Center does not say much to answer my questions.

Thanks

The information is fragmented across a number of pages but the most important statement is "...The default queue manager processes any commands for which a queue manager name is not explicitly specified..."; you might want to consider the implications of that.
