MQSeries.net :: View topic - Queue Manger running But in Green (Not Connected)

Hi Lately we have had a strange scenario where

On one of our 3 Wintel servers (Each running 3 queue Managers) we arrive in the morning to find either 1 or more queue managers running but at the same time in green (Compared to yellow) and we have been unable to connect to them.

There was some posts relating to a similar issue in 2009 (Sorry my search could not find tehm this time) but none of the answers to this rectified our issue and IBM failed to come back with anythink from the PMR
we raised.

The problem has now it seems resolved itself after we noticed that on the server which was having issues the queue manager properties for PUB /Sub was set to ENABLED whearas the other two Servers had theirs set to compatability.

Well we changed,a number of days ago, the setting to COMPATABILITY

Low and behold we have not had the issue since. This was a very frustrating issue and an interersting one. so we are pleased to have it resloved.

OUR ENVIRONMENT :

MQ7 on Win Xp Proffessional with Message Broker 6.
Config Managers sitting on the XP server connecting to the brokers running remotely on AIX

This was certainly an interesting one.
