The topic at http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51744 announced V1.0.0 in Dec 2009.
V1.0.1 is now available at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24022993
If you have used the previous version 1.0.0, please update to the new version as soon as possible. It contains fixes for a few problems found by customers, including log file cycling not working in some circumstances, and issues discussed on mqseries.net. Corrections and improvements have also been made to the User Guide. There have been many requests for support of Sun Solaris Unix on SPARC hardware, and this has been added.
The current version 1.0.1 can be considered stable for the forseeable future. There are no further updates or new features currently planned for 2010. _________________ Glenn |

An issue has been found by a couple of customers with using the 64 bit exit on Solaris SPARC:
Code: |
05/07/10 13:11:48 - Process(17983.1) User(mqm) Program(runmqchl_nd)
AMQ6175: The system could not dynamically load the shared library
'/var/mqm/exits64//wmqcml64.so'. The system returned error message 'ld.so.1:
runmqchl_nd: fatal: relocation error: file /var/mqm/exits64//wmqcml64.so:
symbol strerror_r: referenced symbol not found'. The queue manager will
continue without this module.
|
It appears that on some systems the dynamic loader (ld.so.1) cannot find a 64 bit shared library containing the strerror_r() function. This should be in /usr/lib/64/libc.so.1 or /usr/lib/sparcv9/libc.so.1, but the function appears to be missing in older versions of Solaris. Exporting LD_LIBRARY_PATH in mqm's logon profile didn't seem to help, ie. "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib/64:/usr/lib/sparcv9"
If anyone encounters this problem, contact me to obtain a version of the exit module that uses the strerror() function instead. It will be included in the next release of SupportPac MA0Z. _________________ Glenn |

Are you the author? If you are, nice little exit here. We've used it a couple of times for debugging issues. |

Version 1.0.1 is still current. If anyone requires the exit library for X86 64 bit Linux platforms supported by MQ 6 and 7, please contact me via the MA0Z SupportPac web page.
There are plans to release a new version with some features requested by users but there is no date at this stage. _________________ Glenn |

Hi Glenn, I tried to reach you via the Support Pac page as well as over email and had no return. I need the Linux 64 bit library very much. Please help me with that.

Hi HKlein. Sorry, I have been on leave and missed your post. I received the message you posted on the SupporPac page and will respond to that. _________________ Glenn |

Hi Glenn,
Sorry to post essentially the same thing but I tried to reach you via the Support Pac page as well as by email but I have not received a response. I was wondering of I could get the 64 bit linux version as well or if you have an update on the next version availability date.
Regards,
Ken |

I have departed IBM but will still be involved in this SupportPac. My IBM email address in the MA0Z User Guide no longer exists. I can be contacted by email at
The next version includes new features and bug fixes but there is no release date planned at present. _________________ Glenn |
