Hi,

Is there anything called orphaned channel or queue in WMQ?. I couldn't find a convincing definition from Information Center.

Really?

Go to Google. Search for mq+orphan+channel.

All I found is
"orphaned channels" (when the client application crashed or a network glitch caused a breakage in the channel connection, but the queue manager was not able to detect it in a timely fashion).

But not from Info Center and couldn't find details like how to resolve orphaned channels

Go to google. Search for 'IBM+mq+orphan+channel'. Look for hits with ibm.com urls.

Or you can search for a title, like: "Keeping WebSphere MQ Channels
Up and Running"
